Happy New Year. I would like to begin by thanking all of you for your commitment through a rapidly evolving public health situation. Please take special care over the difficult weeks ahead, and I wish you and your family a very safe, healthy and successful Year of Tiger!
Unless advised otherwise, the tournament will be held as below:
2022.3.13: Competitive team and Social team
2022.4.10: One University team and Maximum 4 Universities Alliance team Preliminary
2022.5.15: One University team and Maximum 4 University Alliance team Final
*Schedule might vary subject to public health order. The tournament is open to members only- registration via www.ccblsyd.com is free. We value your privacy, we only disclose name, the universities/college as registered and your current grade.

In order to acknowledge your resilience, all players will receive medal for participation. The winner of each division will be awarded with cash price. Please rest assured that we monitor the situation closely and prepare for a safe return to court. All participants should have at least two doses of vaccination without any slightest symptoms before the tournament. For the time being, please exercise regularly, keep safe and healthy.
There will be 5 divisions across three days event. Each round will play 3 men double, 1 mixed double, 1 woman double, except that Code SU teams can have one free choice double as substitute men double for 5th match each round. 31 match point without setting. One scoring system rules all matches every round. The outcome will be determined by round and then match and net score.
The grade of players at free choice double should be lower than others at the same round. One male and one female player can play mixed double concurrently in the same round.
Each team contains minimum 6 male and 2 female players, maximum 14 players including team manager, except team under SU is permitted to have 6+2, 5+3, and 4+4 (Male +Female) players for the minimum requirement.
Code OC -Division Open Category Competitive. Registration fee $200/team, Winner award $400/team
Entry Eligibility: up to 14 players with A+ or lower grade, meet below two criteria: born at Greater China region, with tertiary education including graduated or ever studied or employed in the Universities/colleges around the world. Students currently enrolled in Australian universities or college are inclusive. Team formed by local university or college are strongly welcome.
Code OS- Division Open Category Social. Registration fee $200/team, Winner award $200/team
Entry Eligibility: up to 1 player no above B+ grade, and 13 players with C+ or lower grade, meet below two criteria: born at Greater China region, with tertiary education including graduated or ever studied or employed in the Universities/colleges around the world. Students currently enrolled in Australian universities or college are inclusive. Team formed by local university or college are strongly welcome.
Anyone who have played in our first three tournaments are eligible to play in Division OC and OS, if they are registered.
Code SU- Division Single University. Registration fee $400 for two days, Winner award $400/team
Entry Eligibility: up to 14 players who worked or graduated or ever studied at the same universities or College in Greater China (including mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). Team under Code SU can have
Code AU- Division Allied Universities; Registration fee $400 for two days. Winner award $400/team
Entry Eligibility: up to 14 players with A+ or lower grade, worked or graduated or ever studied from no more than 4 universities or College in Greater China. Players have been with the same allied team for consecutive years can be treated as part of main 4 universities/colleges. The players representing same team for three consecutive years (6th tournament inclusive) can be treated as the members of 4 universities/colleges.
The winners of Code SU and AU will be decided on May event.
Code FC-Division Final Round Consolation. Registration fee not applicable. Winner award $200
Entry Eligibility: All teams under Code AU and FC are to play the consolation tournament in May tournament.
All teams under SU and AU will play on 10 April and 15 May tournament. And the players under these two divisions can play all events. Each division will proceed unless no more than 5 teams register.
To meet the increasing demand, we would like to invite players to participate Competitive division Men's double and Mixed Double Individual tournament, which is to be held on the team tournament date. The Competitive Individual tournament registration fee is $20 per player. The enrolled competitive team members are welcome to pay individual tournament after the team match for free. The registration closes by Sunday 27 February 2022. The award for individual winner is $100. Please email player names and registration number as well match to play with remittance advice to ccblsyd@gmail.com.
Team manager and players has obligation to be honest on their education qualification and the actual grade. SCCBLC may request supporting document when applicable and reserves the right to make the final decision over the registration of the players and team. The registration form should contain basic information as below:
Team Name, Team manager, Player Name, Membership number, Grade and Universities/college
Registration fee remittance advice and expression of interest should be emailed to ccblcsyd@gmail.com by 27 February for March tournament and 20 March for April tournament respectively. The player full list can be submitted 10 days prior to the tournament date. Team manager is compulsory to join the tournament communication forum and attend meetings when applicable. Tournament has amateur sports insurance cover, but all participants should consider their own condition and be liable for own well beings.

Pathway is on offer: Players might be selected to join the event with Melbourne team when applicable. 40 volunteers will be permitted to participate 26 June 2022 tournament as part of Inter Community Language Schools Badminton Challenge project. 年年岁岁华相似，岁岁年年人不同。疫情期间欣喜地看到很多球员一直坚持锻炼，一众球员请教练苦练基本功。本届联赛面临着挑战，非同寻常的时期，领队、球员的水平是否停滞不前？是否还是正常发挥？是否刮目相看？我们拭目以待！
除非出现不可抗力，第六届联赛的安排如下：
2022.3.13 公开赛区团体赛（竞技和联谊）

本次比赛定义为业余体育活动，open级别或者退役十年内的职业选手不适宜参赛。每一支球队最多为14名球员。每一轮进行3男双1混双1女双的比赛，一名男生一名女生可以兼项。每局30分，最先达到30分的为胜方。排名按照取胜的大轮局数净胜分依次决定。单一院校赛区允许第五局自由组合代替男双3，没有让分制度。感谢阳光电源冠名赞助本届联赛，为了对众多球员一如既往地备战和不断提升的认可和鼓励，所有参赛球队除了传统的奖杯奖牌外，组委首次对所有赛区的冠军提供现金奖，其他名次奖励视乎后续赞助和开支预算而定。作为多年本地社区体育活动的典范，每次比赛期间高校羽毛球联赛吸引了以万为单位的实质月浏览量，对贵公司品牌的宣传也是非常到位的。有意支持的社团商家，请电邮ccblcsyd@gmail.com ：

OS 赛区- 公开赛区联谊组 注册费$200/球队, 冠军现金奖$200/球队
参赛资格：球员必须在大中华区域出生，在以上区域或者澳大利亚大专院校就读过的留学生、毕业生、结业生、肆业生或者教职员工。只允许一名最高级别为B+的球员。欢迎商会同乡会功能组别尤其本地高校组队参赛。.
参加过前三届的球员一律可以参加公开赛区比赛，有需要的请补注册手续。
SU赛区- 单一院校. 注册费 $400/球队 (2天) 冠军奖金 $400/球队
参赛资格：球员必须在大中华区域（大陆港澳台）同一所大专院校就读过的毕业生、结业生、肆业生或者教职员工。所有球员必须经过组委初始认证。
AU 赛区- 四校联队注册费 $400/球队 (2天) 冠军奖金 $400/球队
参赛资格： 参赛资格：球员必须在大中华区域（大陆港澳台）不超过四所大专院校就读过的毕业生、结业生、肆业生或者教职员工。所有球员必须经过组委初始认证。连续在同一个联队效力三届（含第六届）以上的球员可视为该联队主要高校球员。
SU 和AU赛区的冠军在5月决出。SU 和AU 赛区的球员可以同时参加公开赛区的赛事。
FC 赛区-大联谊组，注册费已经包括，冠军奖金 $200/球队
参赛资格：没有进入冠军争夺赛区的SU和AU赛区的球队将会角逐大联谊组冠军。
组委在竞技组团体比赛的基础上增开竞技组男双和混双单项，已经报名团体赛的球员免费参加竞技组单项比赛，其他组合报名费为$20/人，2月27日竞技组单项截止报名。冠军组合将获得$100现金奖。有意参加的球员请把参赛球员名字，会员号，参加项目和汇款单电邮ccblcsyd@gmail.com.
联赛是本着非盈利非政治非宗教原则成立和运作，所有参赛球员和工作人员必须遵守联赛纪律和维护联赛形象。我们乐意听取公众的建议不断改进，对于违反联赛纪律、影响联赛名誉的相关人员组委将会视情况做出处罚。
羽毛球是竞技活动，虽然联赛购买了业余运动的一般保险，为了安全起见，请参加球员根据各自实际情况再报名参加，球员应该对自己的福祉负责，不得对组委追究任何责任。
报名表必须包括球队名称、领队名字、 球员的姓名、会员号、级别和注册学校。
